Patch 00.04.00 : Rebuild Your Inherited Ludus and Forge a Legacy

The New Patch is Here: A Journey from Abandoned Ludus to Glorious Empire!

Imagine: Instead of starting in a fully equipped Ludus, you now inherit a ruin from your uncle. A slave uprising has destroyed everything and killed your family. Now it's up to you to rebuild this devastated Ludus from the rubble and forge your own path. This new beginning ensures that the journey from nothing to magnificent gladiator battles gains a whole new emotional depth.

23-Part Tutorial Quest: Step by Step to Mastery

The new patch takes you through the most important game mechanics with an extensive 23-part tutorial. In the beginning, you are guided step by step: collect materials, craft simple items, and set up your Ludus. Soon enough, however, you'll face bigger challenges. Later quests only give you broad goals like "Set up a kitchen," leaving it to you to place the appropriate furniture and use the space wisely. Depending on your play speed, the questline takes about 2-3 hours and gives you plenty of room to make your own decisions.

Room System and Furniture: Order is a Must!

Since you are in a city inspired by ancient Rome, space is limited and order is essential. The new patch introduces a room system that limits the types of items that can be placed in a room. Each room gets a specific function: a kitchen, a sleeping room, a workshop. This means cooking appliances can only be placed in the kitchen, beds only in the sleeping room. It is now your task to assign rooms wisely and make good use of the limited space to efficiently organize the Ludus.

Crafting: From Nothing to Your Own Home

You can now get hands-on! The workshop allows you to craft training equipment, beds, and shelves. Crafting adds a new level of depth to the game and gives you control over how your Ludus grows. Additionally, you can collect materials like planks, fabric scraps, and stones scattered around the devastated Ludus and use them as resources for new items. Every decision, every crafted piece of furniture brings you one step closer to your goal.

Quest System and Journal: Stay on Track

A brand-new quest journal helps you keep track of your progress. The new system shows you how far you've come at any time and ensures that you focus on the essentials. This way, you always have an overview of what's next and how to lead your Ludus to success.

The new patch not only brings new mechanics but also a deeper connection to your own Ludus. Will you be able to turn the ruins into a glorious empire?
